It's from Doctor Who, huh? I first came across this word in a science-fiction text adventure game from 16/48 magazine (in the early 1980s, though I was playing it later). I never realised it was taken from that series. Equinox ◑ 01:22, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, it seems to have been coined by that show in the 60s. Heh, one of the joys of being a dictionary-editor: adding quotations from favourite series. I'm watching Genesis of the Daleks now. :) - -sche (discuss) 01:36, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
