Text removed from main artice: {{rfd}} - Redundant page. Move any translations not already at [[translation]] to that page, changing them to the singular. The Greek translation should not begin with a capital letter. In any case, "plural" should not be abbreviated in Wiktionary. — [[User:Paul G|Paul G]] 19:44, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I strongly, vehemently disagree! There has been much discussion about other senses and plurals being linked from a main article's page. On one hand, no one wants to be accused of "trying to inflate the word count." On the other hands:

  • foreign languages often have odd translations of plurals. The Gender case pl I do not associate with English plural: per se.
  • Searches of terms should redirect to headword term when appropriate
  • Allowing separate entries allows for separate pronunciation
  • Allowing separate entries allows for separate meaning (as needed, of course.)

In short, I see no justification for rfd'ing this page. --Connel MacKenzie 09:41, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Translations removed from main article. We don't include translations for plural words

Per preceding discussion in Talk:translations, Connel MacKenzie. As far as I am aware, anyone may translate plurals or other similar forms if they like. These translations can be especially useful since many languages have difficult and irregular forms to express pluralization, if it is expressed at all. —Stephen 22:31, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
