transistorized is neither a verb nor an adjective

The marketing term stems from the 1960's transition from valve to solid state technology and was solely used as a past participle of transistorize in device descriptions stressing the reduction or elimination of tubes. Although its comparatives may formally make sense, they were never used at the time because they sound silly (they would boil down to some tube/transistor ratios comparison which could be cheated easily). The correct terms back then were indeed semi- and fully transistorized. At least use {{en-adj|-}}! --Mkratz (talk) 16:03, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

I take that back. I still maintain the comparatives don't exist, but a Google exact phrase search for most transistorized reveals an astonishing number of Wiktionary mirrors, with some pages sprinkled in saying that "Most transistorized equipments use printed circuit boards" or "In the mid 1950's when the 'Hercules' update was made, most 'transistorized' radios still used tubes in the RF section".

More transistorized returns the same, Wiktionary plus some "Each month, more and more transistorized consumer products are developed", plus the (n+1)^th album of an artist called transistorized.
