This is not the meaning in British English! (I don't know American.)
Ticked off means either what Americans would call checked (?) or reprimanded.

- In my part of the US, it usually means annoyed, but I've also heard it used to indicate one has checked off items on a list, I've never heard it used to mean reprimanded .. --Versageek 22:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
