I believe this is a British and Canadian spelling, possibly Indian, Australian, etc. Can someone from Britain or commonwealth countries comment on usage in their location please? I've seen it in Canada now and then. — This unsigned comment was added by 24.72.6.221 (talk).

No, that's wrong. The units (centimetre/er, millimetre/er) do vary, but never when it's a measuring tool, e.g. speedometer, thermometer. Equinox 20:57, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
