baseball: major leagues. I suggest a move to show --Volants 16:29, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Move per nom. DCDuring TALK 17:02, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Never heard of it. Is it not just a figurative use of show (any entertaining event?). Mglovesfun (talk) 17:12, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- We have a proliferation of sports/games/entertainment senses for many words. If I don't know or like the entertainment, I often don't like the word. This is US sports informal for the major leagues of any sport, usually, baseball or hockey, but possibly applicable to other sports with a similar organizational structure. Synonym: "the bigs" or "bigs". I don't think the term is applicable to smaller sports such as lingerie football yet. (see w:Lingerie Football League. DCDuring TALK 18:57, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Better yet, see Google Images. Mglovesfun (talk) 07:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I was ready to move, but what about the anagram? DAVilla 06:35, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- That's letting the tail wag the dog. DCDuring TALK 14:13, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, just making sure. I've kept “the show” (linked separately) as an anagram to showeth however. Redirected. DAVilla 05:55, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
