Does not seem attested (WT:ATTEST) as an English proverb; I find it mentioned in a book of world proverbs, as an English rendering of a German proverb. google books:"the jug goes to the well until it breaks". --Dan Polansky (talk) 08:56, 21 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
