Russian translations

@D1gggg: To help me understand exactly what you're trying to do, tell me how would you translate "Don't be that guy" into Russian? Because "Не будь типом" doesn't work in my mind, although I'm not up-to-date on Russian slang. --WikiTiki89 19:26, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

True that English slang is more versatile here, but it is possible to ask questions and short remarks using Russian slang:

Что за крендель? Что за тип?

Подходит к нему один такой типок и говорит...

Ну ты крендель! (oh you...)

какие-то типы (pesky guys)

I agree that "не будь кренделем" doesn't sound; IMO Russian perefers verbs in the command tone: не выпендривайся! d1g (talk) 19:34, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

Yes, that's exactly what I thought. So I would say these translations have nothing to do with this particular expression "that guy". They belong at the existing definitions of "guy", "dude", "bloke", and the like. --WikiTiki89 19:43, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
