Regarding the question about the singular noun "thank": I checked in three offline dictionaries. One of them (OED) listed "thank" as a noun, but indicated it was obsolete. The others (more recent) did not list it as a noun, and listed "thanks" as a separate word. I'll see about fixing it. Ortonmc 05:55, 5 Dec 2003 (UTC)

It would make sense that "thank" still exists as a noun. We still say "thanks" to mean "I give you my thoughts of appreciation" or something similar. It just no longer exists as a singular noun. Maerk 11:36, 13 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
