You mean in Spanish? It does not appear in the RAE's dictionary of the Spanish Language, so it's not an accepted alternative in that language. If you encountered it in spain, then it might be Leonese, Asturian, Galician, Aragonese, etc. --EncycloPetey 22:31, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I meant Spanish. What is RAE? I encountered it in a guide to Latin American Spanish. Spanish used in Latin American varies significantly from Spanish used in Spain. Spanish usage varies even between adjacent Latin American countries.
