I don't think the sentence example is the best, I think it would be better as something like I believe we went off onto a tangent when we started talking about unicycles but ended up talking about motorcycles. Can I changed it? 70.131.71.212 18:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Trigonometric function

Someone commented out the def that says "ratio between sine and cosine", claiming it to be equivalent to "ratio between opposite and adjacent catheti in right triangle". This is incorrect; the latter is a specific case of the former; the tangent function is defined by the unit circle. I would update the translation table, but I don't know if any of the translations are specifically for the latter concept.__Gamren (talk) 18:28, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
