Talk:tangent
Add topicI don't think the sentence example is the best, I think it would be better as something like I believe we went off onto a tangent when we started talking about unicycles but ended up talking about motorcycles. Can I changed it? 70.131.71.212 18:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Of course, just click edit, though maybe it would be better to start with motorcycles and go off onto unicycles, on the other hand the sky is quite a nice color atm :p. Conrad.Irwin 18:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Trigonometric function
[edit]Someone commented out the def that says "ratio between sine and cosine", claiming it to be equivalent to "ratio between opposite and adjacent catheti in right triangle". This is incorrect; the latter is a specific case of the former; the tangent function is defined by the unit circle. I would update the translation table, but I don't know if any of the translations are specifically for the latter concept.__Gamren (talk) 18:28, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
