Perhaps missing a historical sense
[edit]Webster 1913 has this: "Made by a tailor or according to a tailor's fashion; — said specif. of women's garments made with certain closeness of fit, simplicity of ornament, etc." We don't mention anything about women's clothing. Equinox ◑ 03:05, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Also in Chambers 1908: "made by a tailor, esp. of plain, close-fitting garments for women, in imitation of men's". Equinox ◑ 13:39, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
