Past participle vs. Adjective

I'm brand-spankin' new here (only signed up because the definition here was so egregiously wrong); is there a reason why a separate adjectival definition is necessary? Seems like the verbal one covers cases like these. Is it just for the benefit of those unfamiliar with uses of the past participle? MukashiEcho (talk) 16:23, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
