The correct etymology of Esperanto superjaro.

David L. Gold was the first to note that Esperanto superjaro is a literal translation of Yidish איבעריאָר.

Biró either copied from Gold 1980 without stating that publication as his source or he copied from someone who had copied from Gold without so stating.

The immediate etymon of superjaro is Yidish איבעריאָר, which reflects a folk etymology of Yidish עיבור-יאָר (details in Gold's article).

There was no "mistaken calque."
