Definition

@Mar vin kaiser No. Further investigation would mean it's meteor. You can search for "exhalación" in the Vocabularios (noceda, de los santos) and the synonyms would be bulalakaw, kometa, taeng-bituin etc etc. Also exhalation also can mean meteor. I've searched about it and has something to do with Aristotelian science or something. Also bulalacao in noceda is also called exhalacion. Ysrael214 (talk) 06:58, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

@Ysrael214: Yeah, I saw it. It would seem you're right, and I'm inclined to, though I can't get over one discrepancy. You see, in Spanish, "el cometa" and "la cometa" mean different things. "El cometa" is a comet. "La cometa" is a kite. In Fray Domingo de los Santos's work, the example sentence "Hindi mo na-quita yaong solonmangayao? no vis-te aquella cometa.", the "cometa" there is feminine, which would tell me that it's referring to a kite, not a comet. Though the overall meaning, like with "exhalación" does mean a "shooting star" in early Spanish. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 07:05, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
