Chambers 1908 gives the literal sense of "a decoy-pigeon" (which we mention only in the etymology); they also give the sense "a gambler's decoy", which is covered by our sense but not explicitly mentioned (we refer only to the police). Equinox 20:57, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
