Yet another obsolete dictionary-only term. The definition says "any distilled liquor", but it seems to mean "anything distilled", and I see one reference to sulphur salts. Chuck Entz (talk) 04:29, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- Copied word for word from Phrontistery [1], including the usage example. Copyvio? Equinox ◑ 06:00, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- I've added 3(+1) cites to Citations:stagma, though I'm not sure of the correct definition. OED2 cites three old dictionaries with various glosses. Einstein2 (talk) 15:09, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Just to note, the liquor in the original gloss is meant in the obsolete generic "liquid" sense, not alcohol etc. I've changed it to "a distilled liquid" which I think is cited with @Einstein2's cites. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 17:58, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
