Add topicMissing computing sense
[edit]I hear about things like a "JavaScript stack", meaning something like a toolchain. It definitely isn't the data structure. Any ideas? Equinox ◑ 13:40, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

The first two computing senses are a calque of stapel#Dutch. See http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/EWD/ewd10xx/EWD1000.PDF. --85.148.244.121 06:02, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Gaming sense (in computer games, collectible card games, etc.)
[edit]What about in this sense? "A magical widget will double your mojo. And yes, they do stack: if you manage to get two magical widgets, your mojo will be quadrupled. With three, it will be octupled, and so forth."

It is unclear how the computing definitions differ from each other. The related terms also need to be put into templates. —The Editor's Apprentice (talk) 01:31, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- It was clearer before this edit that was purportedly to "Distingusih computing definitions". As I understand it, the first sense is about the data structure as a concept, the second is about an instance of the first sense that's a part of the system architecture and is used for temporary storage. The third sense is unrelated to the first two. The fourth one is related to the third, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details (the last programming class I took was in 1983...) - Very much so! Thank you Surjection, it is now clear to me that each of the definitions are distinct. —The Editor's Apprentice (talk) 18:01, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
