Talk:spoko

Etymology is from Polish "spokojnie" , following the fancy teenager's style of shortenning the words (, such as : "dozo" ("do zobaczenia" = "see you") "doju" ("do jutra" = "see you tomorrow") "nara" ("na razie" = "so long").
Spoko means "cool" or "all right". Examples: "Ta nauczycielka jest spoko." means "This teacher is cool (she is getting well with the students)" (but can also mean "she looks good"). "Przyjde jutro, zgoda? - Spoko." means "I will come tomorrow, is that okay? - All right".

- I can confirm that etymology (it's given in a couple books), so I'll add it to the entry. Thanks / dziękuję! - -sche (discuss) 07:06, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
