Wine

[edit]

Splosh seems to be able to mean ‘wine’ according to an episode of Endeavour (TV series). Though perhaps I just misheard slosh. Overlordnat1 (talk) 02:08, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Or maybe they made a mistake on their end. Either way if the episode is available online I'd be interested to hear it. Soap 10:43, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think it appears in S5E2, entitled ‘Cartouche’, which is currently available on ITV Hub. Overlordnat1 (talk) 13:45, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Okay thanks, I dont have access but Im sure someone here does. And I should have characterzed this as a one-off usage instead of a mistake....given that we have slosh and splash Im pretty sure they know what theyre doing. Still, without seeing the quote in context I wouldnt know if it meant wine specifically or just alcohol in general. Soap 12:45, 4 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
I’ve found it and added it to the citations page. They were definitely referring to wine and said ‘splosh’ but without 3 citations and a clear understanding of whether slosh can be used to refer to other types of alcoholic drink other than wine I don’t feel confident enough to add it to the main page of the entry.
