wrong physics

[edit]

This was featured on the front page today. The definition was this: "Of a bullet: lacking a jacketed nose and thereby deforming greatly on impact, causing a large amount of damage and imparting a great deal of momentum to the target; soft-nosed." The part about "imparting a great deal of momentum" is wrong in terms of physics. The bullet has a momentum that depends on its mass and velocity. It's independent of its shape and composition. I'm going to delete the part of the definition about momentum. I also don't see anything in the WP article about momentum.--Valvecable (talk) 14:23, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
