soaked to the bone

NISoP: soaked + to the bone. Contrast to soaked to the skin. I believe that to the skin does not often occur with adjectives other that soaked and its near synonyms. But to the bone with figurative sense of bone occurs with close, (cut) down, slashed, worked, chill, bad, cut, stripped, etc. DCDuring (talk) 14:42, 2 September 2019 (UTC)

Created by the same user as soaked to the skin, which makes a lot more sense. The user was permanently blocked a couple of days later, with the remark "enough is enough". I wouldn't object to the deletion of this one. DonnanZ (talk) 16:08, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
