negative particle

[edit]

Hi, I think its meaning is different when a negative particle (only, not, etc.) precedes it. Thanks in advance. --Backinstadiums (talk) 20:50, 22 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

This may always be the case with "so". Equinox 20:57, 22 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

only/just so many/much

[edit]
only/just so many/much, being a limited or small number or amount; being a limited amount or quantity; up to a certain point or maximum:
I can eat only so many pieces of fruit. Just so much that one can do in such a case.

Are they really idioms? --Backinstadiums (talk) 01:08, 9 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
