Not always; slumgullions can be easily found in Google Books. Equinox 22:25, 12 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Is slubberdegullion related?

I added one quotation that I'm sure is good, from the US Fisheries commission. I also formatted & corrected the usage from Melville, but he spells it slobgollion, which is arguably not the same word. And I added a 1987 reference to "slumgullion of tuna meat, dried blood" etc., but this might mean (figurative) "stew" rather than literal "fish or whale offal". I'd say at least one more quotation is needed. Cnilep (talk) 05:34, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
And now I've found a clearer reference to whale blubber, plus another stew/offal confusion, which I put at Citations:slumgullion. This now looks attested to me. Cnilep (talk) 05:52, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
