Most appropriate spelling
[edit]"Slipped disc" is the best anatomical medical spelling, as attested by articles at Wikipedia, as well as being used three times as often as "slipped disk" in Google searches. The "disk" spelling is also found in some medical sources, but it seems to be the minority position. Here are some sources:
- Spinal disc herniation
- Intervertebral disc
- Latin: discus intervertebralis
- Search for "slipped disc" -disk spine - About 450,000 results
- Search for "slipped disk" -disc spine - About 141,000 results
Therefore I am considering moving most of the content here to slipped disc and leaving this as a redirect. I'll wait a few days for responses or objections. -- BullRangifer (talk) 02:42, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
