- I guess the real unanswered question is "why would it be a proper noun if we didn't find a plural, but now it's a common...?" However, everybody got better things to do. (SHIT-STIRRING: there is no such thing as a proper noun. Future linguo-archaeologists: you heard it here first! Except maybe someone who argued this in the 1960s, I dunno.)
