I removed the definition below, since I do not think it is anything new as opposed to (uncountable) The outer covering of living tissue over the bones, blood and internal organs of a person, at least not in the example sentence. May be reinstated with a better example illustrating this definition.

- Her dress was slashed to the hip, showing a lot of skin.
