Missing sense?
[edit]Can it also refer to an entire typeface with serifs? See citation below. Equinox ◑ 15:00, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
- 2014, Timothy Samara, Design Elements, 2nd Edition
- A sentence set in an oldstyle serif and a similar-weight sans serif at the same point size will appear to be two different sizes.
Pronunciation
[edit]it's /sə'rif/, right? well, Merriam Webster has /se.rəf/. I've heard both. Are both correct or should we list only the first-syllable stress? —Soap— 12:18, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Chambers only has the final-stress version. (It's bad that we don't have any pron listed for this word yet!) Equinox ◑ 12:21, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
