How is it dogma to believe in SCIENCE? Science is the OPPOSITE of dogma by definition. This is not a neutral definition. — This comment was unsigned.

I've reworked the definition based on how the word seems to be used in literature (google books:scientism) and based on how WP defines it. People who use the term do seem to be referring to an excessive focus on science. - -sche (discuss) 20:25, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
