Russian

In Russian сею means "I sow" but it is not acceptable to give the Russian verbs in the 1 person in present but instead of infinitive (сеять, "to sow"). Is there any particular reason wherefore the Russian (and perhaps Old Church Slavonic, I am not knowledgeable in it, but there infinitives end in "-ти") words are not given in their appropriate infinitives? If not, the word should be rewritten as сеять and even if there is a particular reason exactly for this form of the verb it should again be redircted, exempli gratia:[[сеять|сею]], since the creation of article for one non-basic form with the infinitive lacking does not seem sensible. Because Slavic present-stems often more obviously preserve inherited PIE root than infinitive-stems, which usually underwent various mutations (*dt > st, *kt > št/ć etc.). However your point is correct - lemma form should be linked. You can change it yourself, e.g. to OCS сѣти. --Ivan Štambuk 20:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
