Had the noun been derived the actual Ancient Greek way, it would've been sématophore, wouldn't it? There are quite a few such sloppy coinages, e.g. stéarine instead of stéatine, coronavirus instead of coronovirus, but they aren't usually marked in any way. 37.47.207.6 09:13, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
