- cited, but only as a hotword. Kiwima (talk) 22:51, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- Are those all durably archived? Also, as a matter of subjective opinion, does this really seem hotword-worthy? I'm not convinced that the slang will be enduring rather than a product of the novelty. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:12, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- Isn't that the point of the hotword category - to wait and see whether a term is enduring rather than the product of novelty? Kiwima (talk) 20:45, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- No. The original proposal was for words that clearly met all criteria except for spanning one year, and which were almost certain to persist. We never intended to give a lift to protologisms, or anything that isn't in the mainstream yet. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 20:54, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

- Meh. If we decide not to keep it as a hot word, we could {{no entry|en|because=unattested}} it (to point people to the citations page and an adequate stub def). (If we also wait till its month at RFV is up, and it is just a flash in the pan, then by doing so we'll have waited till the attention / interest is off it, too.) People like short terms so it's plausible it'll survive like "flu" from "influenza", but it's possible only e.g. corona will be the short form (or even just covid, in some capitalization). - -sche (discuss) 00:20, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
