Etymology

What evidence suggests the derivation from roseus is less likely than russus? The normal application of sound changes from Latin indicates roseus would render "roșu", whereas russus would render "rusu". Did the original author confuse the terms? RadomirZinovyev (talk) 15:22, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
