We are missing a metaphorical sense, e.g. "the garden was a riot of colour". Equinox 15:37, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Rfv-sense

The tumultuous disturbance of the public peace by an unlawful assembly of three or more persons in the execution of some private object.

seems like a Category:en:Standards of identity but from what law or regulation or court decision?

I don't think an RFV is needed; after all, this is the sense that is trying to describe the concept referenced by "violent street riots" etc. The definition just needs to be reworded to be more general. This, that and the other (talk) 12:27, 20 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, let's just make the definition broader. This is like having lots of specific definitions of murder or theft based on different laws' details. - -sche (discuss) 00:03, 21 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I had a stab at rewriting the def; let's call this RFV-resolved, and of course the def can be subject to further editing as usual. This, that and the other (talk) 00:41, 21 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
