In the English definition we don't mention:

1. Is a ringularity a boson loop; and does it remain a boson as a whole (that isn't self-evident without the proof)?
2. Is it natural or idealized? (Is reality more messed up?)

Don't update the definition if it doesn't become the MIT and Caltech standard one.

zero thickness is probabilistically and naturally impossible by definition; ideally/theoretically it is a simplification
