How do you put in that present first person singular can also be 'rij'? Also, even though the imperative is correct, it's rarely used. 'rijden' or 'rijen' is used more. 81.68.255.36 16:17, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think AugPi is around these days. Try putting this in the usage notes. I guess 'rijd' is still the 'official' first person present of rijden, although I've only seen 'rij' used myself. Ik rij naar huis voor het kerstfeest for example. Jamesjiao → T ◊ C 12:45, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Exactly, I'll put it in the usage notes. 81.68.255.36 14:00, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
- I put it in, I believe the IPA symbols match the actual pronunciation. I copied it from w:Dutch_phonology (bijt). 81.68.255.36 14:07, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think a distinction must be made between rijen en ik rij. The former is used in pronunciation, but never written. But ik rij is standard alongside the more old-fashioned ik rijd. The same is true with ik hou, which is also given as a correct form of houden in wiktionary. Ik rij should be given in the conjugation of rijden, too.
