Chambers 1908 also defines reposition as "reduction" (unfortunately rather ambiguous), connected with reposit. This might be the medical sense of reduction, i.e. "a medical procedure to restore a fracture or dislocation to the correct alignment" — which is a repositioning. Equinox 07:08, 14 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
