Talk:reoccurrence

I don't think this is a word. I think the word is "recurrence", with no "o".
- There are more than 1200 books that seem to use it. I prefer to use "recurrence" myself, but apparently there are authors who differ. DCDuring TALK 18:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Since there is a slight difference in meaning between recur and reoccur, there should also be a difference in meaning between reoccurrence and recurrence. They are not mere synonyms. --Inkwina (talk) 17:09, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- I once tried to argue that there was a distinction between for example and for instance, inherited from the distinction between example and instance, only to be find that no one here saw the distinction. Could you explain the distinction that you feel exists? It is always helpful to give examples. DCDuring TALK 18:01, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
