The noun is OK, it used to mean an isolated place but not any more. Also, I'm fairly sure it could be used as a verb in the past, but I can't find any cites for it so I'll leave it out for now. Widsith 08:03, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Czech translation

A Czech translation of recluse could be samotář (solitary) or poustevník (hermit). However, none of the two seems to fit exactly. For one thing, samotář bears no religious context. For poustevník, I do not know what that means exactly, though I am a native Czech speaker, apart from that this guy is supposed to live in a dwelling place poustevna (hermitage).
