- However, that sense is missing, so maybe it should say "mechanical calculator" instead of "computer (technology)". Perhaps this is what the editor had in mind. – Jberkel 16:14, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- I wonder if this might be from some fictional franchise. There is ready reckoner, and there are plenty of sci-fi and fantasy works that use alternate names for things to give a stronger suggestion of a parallel world, like Philip Pullman's "anbaric" (electronic), "gyptians" (gypsies), etc. etc. Equinox ◑ 23:23, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
