We don't normally allow such article titles. But is this one pukka? SemperBlotto 07:42, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I had the same gut reaction as you, but this does seem to be a standard format phrase. It gets 658 b.g.c hits, although some of them are in the format "rear admiral, lower half,..." or rear admiral lower half instead. The parenthetical form seems the most common on a quick look. --EncycloPetey 16:21, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Comment: this is the O-7 rank, formerly known as Commodore, being applied to non-line officers. - Amgine/talk 18:44, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Check this out: [1]. It's an official US Navy site. --Hekaheka 13:05, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kept. I've changed {{rfv}} to {{rfquote}}. Anyone wishing to re-RFV this should feel free. —RuakhTALK 01:50, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
