The portuguese translation for the "mathematics: line extending indefinitely in one direction from a point" meaning is equivocated. It states that "ray" means "raio" in portuguese, which is not true. "Raio", among others, means "radius" in portuguese.
- Em português falamos de "raio de luz", de roda, de relâmpago, &c. Raio means ray, bolt, spoke, radius, etc. It seems to be right. —Stephen 22:08, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit]French raie, latin raia, different from rai < radius. --Diligent (talk) 13:51, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
