Verb form

What is the word for attaching ratlines to shrouds? The Ashley Book of Knots, 1979, p546 says "rattled down" is the adjective for shrouds with ratlines attached, but the process involves seizing at the ends and hitching (clove hitches) to intermediate shrouds, so there may not be a verb that covers the whole process.
