Possibly related to/ cognate with 日 and rā?
- No. The Old Chinese pronunciation of 日 can be reconstructed as something like */njiɡ/, while the cognates of rā show that the Proto-Austronesian form was something like */lajar/. Meanwhile the Egyptian was roughly */ˈɾiːʕuw/. There is no basis whatsoever for drawing an etymological connection between these words. — Vorziblix (talk · contribs) 16:50, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
