Use in England (personal observations)

[edit]

I'm 48, and have been aware of this word - meaning proper or authentic, and implying approval - for as long as I can remember.

It has possibly become more popular since it is used by a popular TV celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Oliver). — This unsigned comment was added by 90.152.52.98 (talk) at 11:19, 1 July 2008.
