I think the definition should read, "one who rationally seeks to maximize his or her profit from a commercial transaction." — This comment was unsigned.

I don't think that's how it is actually meant by those who use it. Yours seems to be a prescriptive normative definition. You are saying how people should think of those they call profiteers. Good luck with that. DCDuring TALK 01:43, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
