Splitting the Hong Kong usage into a separate sense?

@Geographyinitiative The usage of this term in Hong Kong usually refers to a specific political camp or the parties within it (cf the confusingly termed pan-democracy which is a sub-camp of the pan-democrats). Some of the quotes you added are indicative of such usage (I can provide a couple more), rather than a more general "in favour of democracy", though I'm not sure whether or not it should be a proper noun or noun, given the lack of capitalisation. – Wpi (talk) 19:28, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

@Wpi Great to hear from you! Here is my suggestion: separate the citations you feel fall under the Hong Kong sense into a separate heading in Citations:pro-democracy. Add the other stuff you think points to this. Then, once that makes sense to you, add that new sense on the entry, plus whatever good cites you think could help.
