Serbo-Croatian Cyrillic
[edit]I haven't been able to find but 3 uses of the spelling *препуциј, so I haven't included it. My Serbian friend uses the spelling препуцијум, however. Regional preferences? — [ R·I·C ] opiaterein — 19:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- prepucij seems to be only Latin-spelled Croatian form. I'm not that familiar with specialized medical terminology, so I could be wrong. There is a similar difference in chemical elements' names: Croatian uranij, Bosnian/Serbian uranijum etc. These differences in borrowings of scientific terms from Latin neuters in -um are often systematic in character. --Ivan Štambuk 20:29, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- I figured it was something like that... I don't know what the best way to regard this in entries would be, though - especially when there seems to be little if any use of one spelling opposed to the other. — [ R·I·C ] opiaterein — 20:33, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Dunno, I generally ignore low-frequency obscure terms, and focus on missing top missing terms instead [1] --Ivan Štambuk 20:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, three uses is enough for CFI… – Krun 21:13, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
