other definition?
[edit]In some website I read the following:
- ...a narrative from a polyvalent first-person point of view...
The novel it is referring in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. How would this be defined?
- We cannot be responsible for people using words wrongly! Who knows what the author means? SemperBlotto 08:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Me, for one. And yeah, I hope you weren't semperblotto when you wrote that. Of course, compared to Ken Kesey, you are much the better judge of what is proper English; nevertheless, the usage in OFOTKN is unexceptionable. Have a look here and in other dictionaries. I will add a fourth definition accordingly. The three there now are all technical jargon. Why is the only meaning of the word that is in general use absent? Myles325a 00:11, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- So, what is that definition? Mglovesfun (talk) 00:15, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I've included it as definition 1. It is placed correctly before the technical variants of the term. Myles325a 02:59, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
