polovina = (pol= bal (hungarian left side, means bad, clumsy, non complete) + ov (~to have) + ina = ( ein (one in german, ~~én = I, me in hungarian. If they showed one on the hand, thumb was 1, I or me or ein or én, 2 was two, du, dva, due...~you, du, ti etc.) From this left side, "bal" in hungarian developed half, "fél" in hungarian. The Czech "~půl" means half too. I think that half, halb in german languages has common origin with "polovina" and "bal". ~Bal+ob(~Ich habe)+((ein))=...balb....halb....half.
